Farmers' education key to rural uplift: UVAS vice chancellor

University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Nawaz has said that education of the farmer is a key to rural development. Addressing a seminar on 'Practices for profitable dairy farming' in the on Thursday.
The Vice Chancellor said Pakistan had the best milk-producing animals like Sahiwal cow, and stressed the need for proper breeding, feeding and management of animals to enhance their productivity. Dr RA Patil, a dairy consultant of US Soyabean Export Council, New Delhi, and General Manager of Warana Co-op Milk Union, Kolhapur (India), spoke about various practices for profitable dairy farming.
