Pakistan is ready to work with India for free movement of journalists, material and information in the region, Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri said here on Monday. He was speaking at a South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (Saarc) Journalists Summit-III" organised by the South Asia Free Media Association (Safma) here at a local hotel.
Lauding the efforts of Safma to bring the people of South Asia closer, he said Pakistan "supports its endeavours. The minister said the hindrances that were seen for years no longer existed. Besides holding workshops and seminars, Safma has good networking in each of the Saarc country.
The minister said the Delhi summit of the regional forum would give an impetus to forward movement. Speaking on the occasion, Indian Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee stressed the need to promote connectivity in different spheres of life in the region. He said mental connectivity has great role to play for betterment of the people of South Asia.
