Third 40 MVA power transformer to be installed

Third 40 MVA power transformer will be installed in 132-kV Jhang Road Grid Station by April 25, said Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) Chief Executive Ahmad Saeed Akhtar. During his visit to the site, he reviewed the installation work.
He said installation of 40 MVA power transformers in Fesco was a big achievement of the company which was also indicative of the technical skills and expertise of its engineers. He said, "Our engineers have already installed two 40-MVA power transformers independently," and added the installation of 40-MVA power transformer in this grid station would not only stabilise electricity supply in its area but also help Fesco to issue new electricity connections.
GSO Manager Muhammad Ali briefed the chief executive on the details of the power transformer. He said it was being installed at an estimated cost of Rs 40 million.
