Japan buys 170,000 tonnes of wheat

Japan's Agriculture Ministry bought a total of 170,000 tonnes of milling wheat from the United States, Canada and Australia at a weekly tender, the same volume as planned, a ministry official said on Thursday.
Out of a total of seven shipments, three shipments carrying a total of 75,000 tonnes are scheduled to take place in May and the remaining four in June, the official said.
