Farewell dinner for Bahraini Consul General on April 17

The Dean of the Consular Corps in Karachi Jameel Abdul Wahab Abdus Salam is leaving Karachi on transfer. He is being hosted a farewell dinner on April 17, 2007 by Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig and his wife at their residence 9th Street, Khyaban-e-Shamsheer, Defence Housing Authority at 8.30 pm.
Joining on the occasion will also be Deputy Head of the British Deputy High Commissioner Ron Rimmer and his wife, who are also going back on transfer while it will also be the occasion to welcome the new Italian Consul General in Karachi Dominico Benincas who has come to Karachi in place of Bruno Pasquino since transferred.
It may be mentioned here that Jameel Abdul Wahab Abdus Salam came to Karachi as the Bahraini Consul General in 2001 and has since represented his country, the Bahraini Kingdom, very ably as the Consul General and later assuming office as the Dean of the Consular Corps. He has been a very popular figure at various gatherings in Karachi including the national day parties held by the different Consulates and Consulate Generals here.
Jameel Abdul Wahab Abdus Salam has also enjoyed the honour of representing the Kingdom of Bahrain in Pakistan because the Kingdom of Bahrain maintained its Consulate General in Karachi since diplomatic ties were established between the two countries.
