Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 40,577 tonnes cargo including 20,232 tonnes import, 20,345` tonnes export cargo and 749 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 38,527 tonnes dry cargo including 11,918 tonnes general cargo; 3,977 tonnes rice; 4,606 tonnes cement; 8,000 tonnes coal; 6,002 tonnes scrap; 4,024 tonnes clinkers and 2,050 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Three ships namely Apl Dalian, M.T. Johar and Mozan Maru sailed out to sea during the report period.
Two vessels viz Wan Hai-311 and Kuo Chang are currently at the berths. Two ships namely Kuo Chang and Rising One expected to sail on Saturday, while two vessels viz Wan Hai-311 and Victoria are expected to sail on Sunday.
Five vessels viz Oel Victory, Mol Admiration, Diamond Progress, Fifi Queen and Liberty Spirit due to arrive on Saturday, while twelve ships namely Stolt Ami, Chemstar Brave, Kama Bhum, Cosco Lian Yun, Cma Cgm Simba, Oel Esteem, Nyzdan, Oel Aishwarya, Pac Antlia, Comorin Pride, Grand Venus and Hajee Khereh are due to arrive on Sunday. Two ships namely Global Prosperity and Bw Captain are due to arrive on Monday.

The cargo comprised of 19,722 tonnes diesel oil; 4,427 tonnes edible oil; 8,581 tonnes seeds; 1,678 tonnes wheat; 5,974 tonnes rice and 35,836 tonnes containerised cargo. Two ships namely C.V. Maersk Barry and M.T. Taxi Archis-1 sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. Container vessel viz CSAV Ningbo is expected to sail on Saturday.
A total of three ships carrying diesel oil, edible oil and containers namely Al-Salam, Jipro Dream and CMA CGM Agean are currently at the outer anchorage. Five ships namely M.T. Al-Salam, M.T. Jipro Dream, M.V. CMA CGM Agean, M.V. Carl Mesm and C.V. MSC Germany due to take berths at Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal, FOTCO Terminal and IOC Berth respectively on Saturday.
Three vessels viz C.V. ACX Tsubaki, M.V. Berenice and M.T. Sitavera due to arrive on Saturday, while another ship namely C.V. Sima Paya is due to arrive on Sunday.
