Many people in Islamabad-Rawalpindi remembered their loved near and dear ones who died in the Ojhri ammunition dump blast on this day in 1988 during the rule of military dictator General Ziaul Haq, reports UPP correspondent.
It may be mentioned here that the Ojhri camp ammunition dump blasted in 1988 on April 10, claimed the lives of a very large number of people when missiles and other ammunition stored in Ojhri camp site, meant for the Afghan Jihad reportedly exploded. Missiles and rockets rained on many parts of Islamabad and Rawalpindi claiming many lives including that of civilians and men in uniform.
