Singapore bunker prices fell on Tuesday, but premiums jumped about 28 percent on a tight prompt market. Prices for 380-centistoke (cst) bunker fuel were pegged at $330-332 a tonne, and its differential to fuel oil were at $4.50, up $1.00 from the previous close.
"Crude is suddenly running up (on Tuesday) and suppliers have pulled away from the market, while shipowners have jumped in. Its an interesting situation," a Singapore bunker trader said. US crude oil prices rose 21 cents in late Asian trade on Tuesday to $61.72 a barrel, after sliding 4.3 percent on Monday.
