US MIDDAY: wheat declines

13 Apr, 2007

Wheat futures on the Chicago Board of Trade fell to the day's lows at midsession on Thursday, pressured by spillover from steep declines in corn futures, traders said. At the Minneapolis Grain Exchange, funds had sold about 1,000 spring wheat contracts, apparently liquidating long positions.
As of 11:07 am CDT (1607 GMT), CBOT May wheat was down 6-1/4 cents at $4.50 per bushel. Minneapolis May spring wheat was down 8-1/2 at $4.96-1/2 and Kansas City Board of Trade May wheat was down 1-3/4 at $4.74-1/4.
