The Ministry of Education is organising a ceremony to launch the first-ever 'National Information and Communication Strategy for Education in Pakistan' on Thursday at 10:30am at the Academy for Educational Planning and Management (AEPAM), Islamabad.
Minister of State for Education, Anisa Zeb Tahirkhaili will be the chief guest on the occasion. The strategy has been developed in collaboration with USAID/Education Sector Reform Assistance (Esra) Programme, Ministry of Information Technology and Provincial Education Departments after extensive consultations with stakeholders across the country.
Interlinked with the education enhancement initiatives of the Government of Pakistan, the strategy would facilitate efforts to improve the quality of education in primary, secondary and vocational schools by introducing various information and communication technology based applications and methodologies.
The strategy is expected to create exciting teaching and learning opportunities for teachers and students. It would also empower professionals at all levels and extend the outreach and quality of education, in the future.
