The National Refinery Limited (NRL) has earned Rs 1277.731 million as profit after tax translating into earning per share of Rs 19.17 in the quarter ended on March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 217.425 million earned in the same period in 2006.
The board of directors of NRL in its meeting held here on Tuesday announced that the company's profit before tax stood at Rs 1887.917 million in the period under review against Rs 389.040 million in the corresponding period in previous year. The company's gross sales stood at Rs 24,584.804 million in the first quarter of 2007 against Rs 24,868.323 million in the same period in 2006.
