Acting chief justice asked to disqualify Musharraf for re-election

President Pakistan Lawyers' Forum A K Dogar has written a letter to the Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan requesting him to direct the officials concerned to fix his petition against President of Pakistan, seeking his disqualification for re-election in the forthcoming polls.
He contended that under the president in uniform, neither election commission could hold fair elections, nor judiciary could function independently. He prayed in his petition to restrain President from political activities favouring his political allies that amounts to pre-election rigging. He, therefore, prayed to fix the case before a full bench of the august court.
