A tableau competition for special children will be held at the Alhamra Art Centre on April 24. Renowned artist and welfare worker Jimmy Engineer will hold the fun and food programme to create social awareness and sensitise people about handicapped kids, which will include the tableau contest by disabled children, according to a press release received here on Thursday.
The objective is to provide special children an opportunity to demonstrate their artistic skills, talent and potential through short duration tableaux. As many as 600 children from over 30 Special Education Training Centres and Institutions working in Lahore in the public and private sectors, along with their teachers and instructors will be invited to the contest. There will be prizes for almost all participating teams performing in different categories and there will also be an awards jury to grade the entries.
