RTA proposes new inter-city routes

The Regional Transport Authority has proposed new Inter-City Routes for buses, coaches and coasters operating from different stands in Faisalabad city. This step has been taken to regulate the traffic by diverting inter city traffic to their nearest available bypass.
According to the proposed plan, the vehicles from General Bus Stand (GBS) for Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Multan will use the route of Chenab Club Chowk, Hilal-e-Ahmar Chowk, Old GTS, Sammundri Road, Jhal Roshan Wali Bypass and Sidhar Bypass.
The public transport from Abdullah Pur Stand for these destinations will adopt the route via Abdullah Pur Chowk, Canal Road, Jhal Khannuana, Sammundri Road, Roshan Wali Bypass and Sidhar Bypass.
The traffic from Abdullah Pur Stand for Sargodha and Lahore will pass through Tariqabad Overhead Bridge, Railway Station Chowk, GTS Chowk, Hilal-e-Ahmar Chowk, Chenab Club Chowk, GBS and Sargodha Road.
The traffic emanating from Khawaja Travels Rajbah Road for Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Multan will use the route from Dijkot Road, Novelty Pull, Sammundri Road, Jhal Roshan Wali Bypass and Sidhar Bypass.
The vehicles using Nadir Flying Coach stand on Aminpur Road and bound for Rawalpindi and Lahore will use the route of Narwala Road, Ghulam Muhammad Abad, Kamal Pur Bypass and Motorway. Similarly, the traffic from this stand for Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Multan will pass through Narwala Road, Ghulam Muhammad Abad and Sidhar Bypass.
Daewoo Express Jail Road will use Sargodha Road for its destination of Lahore and Rawalpindi. However its traffic for Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Multan will also use Sargodha Road, Kamal Pur Bypass and Sidhar Bypass.
Various stands on Railway road will adopt the route of Jhal Khannuana, Sammundri Road, Jhal Roshan Wali Bypass and Sidhar Bypass for Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Multan while vehicles for Sargodha and Rawalpindi will pass through Chenab Club Chowk, General Bus Stand and Sargodha Road.
