Sri Lankan trade team due in June

Sri Lanka Chamber of Small Industry is organising a trade mission to visit "My Karachi" International Exhibition in June. The trade mission is being organised with the support of the Pakistan High Commission in Colombo, the Commerce Department and the Export Development Board, a private TV reported.
The Small Chamber delegation led by its President Alloy Jayewardene would include 20 members with interests for joint ventures, export of Sri Lankan products including industrial products and import of raw materials. The exhibition will open on June 1 and the Lankan delegation will also visit Faisalabad, Sialkot and Lahore.
In Lahore a Pakistan-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement Seminar will be held with over 200 industrialists and business people from the three states in attendance.
The Small Chamber will sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chambers in Faisalabad, Sialkot, and Lahore to promote trade links between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Pak-Sri lanka will exchange trade and business information on business opportunities in their countries.
