Two Pakistani students awarded UK scholarships

A leading Holborn Arts and Business College, London, has announced two scholarships in the name of Pakistan High Commissioner to UK, Dr Maleeha Lodhi. At a function held at the Pakistan High Commission on Thursday evening, the two recipients were introduced to the gathering.
They were 19-year-old Fakhir Amir Kazmi of Sheikhupura, who has joined the Holborn College for a three-year course in LLB degree, and Karachi's Muhammad Salman Qaiser, who will study towards his degree in Business Administration in the same institution, which was established in 1969. The two students selected for 7,500 pounds scholarship, covering the entire duration of their studies, were chosen after undergoing a tough selection procedure.
Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan High Commissioner Dr Maleeha Lodhi felicitated the students on winning the scholarships, and urged them to make the best use of their studies in a British institution and enhance the image of the country. She said Pakistani students, studying in various British institutions, were the ambassadors of their country and a role model for others aspiring to winning this coveted scholarship.
