'Pakistan wants gradual return of Afghan refugees'

Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Saturday said Pakistan wants gradual return of Afghan refugees as agreed between Pakistan and Afghanistan and the process will be completed with the help of UNHCR.
Talking to Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, Minister for States and Frontier Regions (Safron), the Prime Minister said two camps in NWFP, Kacha Garhi and Jalozai and two camps in Balochistan, Jungle Pir Alizai and Girdi Jungle, will be closed and residents repatriated to Afghanistan.
He said to encourage repatriation, the government has increased financial incentive for the refugees to return to Afghanistan and was seeking help from the donor agencies and friendly countries.
Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind updated the Prime Minister on the latest situation in the various camps, registration process of Afghan refugees, their repatriation and the assistance from UNHCR. He further said the refugees will be repatriated gradually to ensure their orderly return and to enable them to lead a normal life.
