'CS&RD academy to create skilled, trained manpower'

The Sindh Minister for Revenue Dr Irfan Gul Magsi has said that the establishment of "Sindh Civil Services & Rural Development Academy" (SCS&RDA) at the cost of Rs 114.204 million with a view to create skilled and trained manpower in each field and utilise the available resources in efficient manner was a historical step of the Sindh government to make the province as prosperous.
This he said while addressing foundation stone laying ceremony of Sindh Civil Services & Rural Development Academy at Tando Jam on Saturday as chief guest. He said that training process of the academy has been started under which presently the lower staff of revenue department and councillors level public representatives were being provided necessary training for their capacity building but in future in addition to all the PCS officers, revenue officers, forest and police officers and officers of other departments, the public representatives including MPAs, MNAs would also be provided necessary training for their capacity building.
He said that the government officers would be provided training to ensure efficient deliveries to the public, transparent utilisation of funds and to have their managerial skilled while public representatives would be provided training about dealing with national and international issues, formulation of policies in national interest and process of legislation on the pattern of National Defence College Islamabad.
He said that Sindh was rich with the natural resources and manpower but unfortunately due to lack of training institutions, we didn't utilised these resources properly, and couldn't achieved the status of development accordingly.
He said that revenue department realising this deficit has launched the scheme for establishment of Sindh Civil Services & Rural Development Academy and hopefully people would witness its benefit in near future. He said that today was the historical day for the people of Sindh while we were going to lay foundation stone of SCS&RDA at Tando Jam for their development in present and future as well.
Later, talking with the media, the Sindh Minister Dr Irfan Gul Magsi informed that Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim while visiting Hyderabad on Friday has approved another scheme of revenue department under which all the old and historical buildings of revenue department would be repaired, renovated and protected as heritage.
