The Karachi Port handled 184,217 tonnes cargo including 127,050 tonnes import, 57,167 tonnes export cargo and 4,137 containers (TEUs) during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 155,786 tonnes dry cargo including 118,231 tonnes general cargo; 694 tonnes fertiliser; 16,000 tonnes coal; 7,825 tonnes rice; 10,977 tonnes cement; 2,059 tonnes wheat and 28,431 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Ten ships namely Iran Tabatabaei, Oel Express, Bunga Kenari, Sp 5-Eric G Gibson, Wan Hai-315, X-Press Resolve, Raya, M.T. Johar, Chemstar Brave and Jan Dlugosz sailed out to sea during the report period.
Fourteen vessels viz Zara-IV, Bunga Kenari, Sp 5-Eric G Gibson, Wan Hai-315, X-Press Resolve, Kota Gunawan, Kama Bhum, Iran Hesabi, Sea Veteran, Jan Dlugosz, Mol Admiration, Sea Veteran, Chemstar Brave and Iver Progress are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely sea Princess, Iran Hesabi and Kota Gunawan expected to sail on Monday, while five vessels viz Nordtide, Oel Esteem, Cosco Shekou, Victory-1 and Mol Admiration are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Five vessels viz Ms Simon, Comorin Pride, Pan Voyager, Pacific Arrow and Aqaba Express due to arrive on Monday, while six ships namely Lalazar, Star-1, Peterpaul, Apl Shenzhen, Kota Perkasa and Y M Faha are due to arrive on Tuesday. Five ships namely Hyundai Sprinter, Mac Andrews, YM Moon, Tarpon Santiago and Beluga Fascination are due to arrive on Wednesday.
