Power supply to 24 more departments disconnected

Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) on Wednesday disconnected power supply to 24 defaulting government departments whereas recovered Rs 15.7 million from Hazara Circle during its disconnection and recovery campaign against defaulters in the province.
The campaign is in full swing and the number of total disconnections has climbed to 44. According to reports, Pesco has disconnected power supply to a number of departments in Swat circle including water supply schemes, street lights, forest offices etc for non-payment of Rs 17, 53,338.
Similarly power supply to three government schools have been disconnected in Warsak-I Sub-Division while power supply has been cut off to Sardar Ahmad Jan Colony Tube well and Charsadda Bus Stand Peshawar for non payment of their arrears worth of Rs 8, 83,501.
The drive in Mardan Circle is also in progress and power supply to Katakat & Landi Shah Water Supply Schemes has been cut off due to failure in payment of the arrears of Rs 2, 08,301. Pesco has again requested its consumers and government institutions to immediately pay their arrears so that they could not face the disconnection.
