Car bomb kills six in Baghdad

A car bomb killed at least six people and wounded 45 near a police station in a Shia stronghold in Baghdad on Wednesday, a hospital official said. The car bomb went off around dusk in Sadr City, police said. A US-backed security crackdown in Baghdad, now in its third month, has managed to reduce some violence although car bombs still plague the Iraqi capital.
