The Canadian dollar ended flat against the greenback on Tuesday, giving up early gains as Bank of Canada Governor David Dodge said the currency has been rising faster than the bank had expected, a comment that triggered some profit-taking. Bond prices eased, retracing some of the previous session's rise.
The currency finished at C$1.1105 to the US dollar, or 90.05 US cents, compared with C$1.1101 to the US dollar, or 90.08 US cents, at Monday's close.
