Ice hockey: Latvia beats Austria to remain in A Pool

Latvia received goals from five different players to earn a 5-1 win over Austria on Sunday, securing a spot in the ice hockey world championship A Pool for another year.
Kaspars Daugavins, Aleksandrs Nizivijs, Herberts Vasiljevs, Rodrigo Lavins and Leonids Tambijevs all found the net to leave Latvia unbeaten in relegation round play and top of the standings on six points.
In other relegation round play, Yuri Navarenko's third period powerplay goal lifted Ukraine past Norway 3-2 to keep alive their hopes of remaining in the top division.
The victory moves Ukraine into second place with three points followed by Norway with two and Austria on one. Each team has one game remaining on Monday.
The top two teams stay in the A Pool while the bottom two country's are relegated to the B Pool.
