Addressing a press here on Friday, Air Marshal M Asghar Khan, Rahbar Tehrik-i-Istaqlal said that the only solution to the present crisis is that President Pervez Musharraf should hand over the power to chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry who should hold fair and free elections within three months, restore the 1973 Constitution in its original form.
He criticised the army for its involvement in political affairs which hindered the democratic norms to flourish in the country. The generals' rule shook the very foundations of the country.
