Pakistan Oilfields Limited (POL) promoted by the Attock Oil Company (AOC) was incorporated on November 25, 1950 as a Pakistani Oil Exploration and Production Company. In 1978, POL took over from AOC, the entire oil & gas exploration, production, gas processing and transmission activities.
Since then, it has been investing independently and in joint ventures with various E&P companies for the search of Oil and Gas in Pakistan. It is listed on the three Stock Exchanges of the country.
POL is the 3rd largest producer of Oil in Pakistan. It operates in nine Development and Production Leases over Balkassar, Dhulian, Joya Mair, Khaur, Turkwal, Meyal, Minwal, Pariwali and Pindori fields. POL has exploration and production joint ventures with both local and multinational E&P Companies in Pakistan.
Aside from exploration and production of oil & gas, POL also operates an extensive network of pipelines for transporting its own crude oil from Khaur as well as that of others to Attock Refinery Limited. POL has gas processing plants at Meyal and Pindori fields. It also manufactures LPG, Solvent Oil and Sulphur.
POL markets LPG under its own brand name of POLGAS as well as through its subsidiary CAPGAS (Private) Limited.
