HEALTH UPDATE: citizens urged to change dietary, sleep habits

Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Karachi has expressed concern over the rising trend of later sleeping and unbalanced diet adding it is causing different kinds of diseases.
In a statement issued here on May 6, PMA said that heart and stomach diseases, diabetes and obesity were on the rise due to these habits, especially dining and go to bed late.
People go to bed late in night after having oily meals especially in marriage parties. They do not carry out exercises, or take part in sports activities and thus they are suffering from various diseases.
It said that fatness among children is increasing rapidly because they seldom take part in outdoor games and usually spend leisure hours watch television and playing video and other indoor games.
