16 May, 2007

Provincial Ombudsman Abdur Rashid Khan ordered secretary Livestock and Dairy Development (L&DD) Department to appoint two complainants who were deprived of their rightful appointments by violating recruitment policy.
The ombudsman also directed for disciplinary proceedings against district livestock officer (DLO), Pakpattan for depriving the eligible candidates of their appointments.
Complainant Hassan Mustafa contended that he had submitted an application in the department for two posts of veterinary assistant falling in provincial quota and four posts falling in the district quota.
He was placed first in both the quotas but he was not appointed. The other candidate Muhammad Mehmood Majid also approached the ombudsman against the illegality committed by the DLO.
