The executing authorities have utilised Rs 9,271.375 million against the amount of Rs 16,660.974 million released by the provincial government for spending on 1,123 development schemes in various departments during last three quarters of the financial year 2006-07.
According to official statistics, the government has allocated Rs 24,000 million for these development schemes in 2006-07, of which Rs 16,660.974 million were released to executing authorities from July 2006 to March 2007.
According to details, Rs 477.420 million were utilised against the released amount of Rs 665.420 million on 33 development schemes of agriculture Department, Rs 10 million were spent on one scheme of Food Department, Rs 26.580 million on 26 development schemes of Fisheries and Livestock Department, Rs 109.446 million on 34 development schemes of Forest, Wildlife departments and Coastal Development Authority, Rs 136.466 million were utilised on 23 development schemes of Labour and Industries department, Rs 305.242 million on 48 Mines and Mineral Department, Rs 714.879 million on 104 development schemes of Irrigation and Power Department, Rs 2,659.379 million on 308 schemes of Works and Services Department including building portion, Rs 310.571 million on 58 development schemes of Local Government Department, Rs 918.085 million on 64 development schemes of Education Department, Rs 250.797 million on 84 development schemes of Health Department, Rs 17.472 million on 47 development schemes of Culture and Tourism Department.
Rs 4.440 million on three development schemes of Information and Archives Department, Rs 8.554 million on 22 schemes of Statistical and Economic Research Department, Rs 11.721 million on 26 schemes of Science and Information Technology Department, Rs 5.100 million on 11 development schemes of Women Development Department, Rs 1.010 million on nine schemes of Environment Department, Rs 273.276 million on 38 development schemes under special projects, Rs 498.137 million were utilised on two schemes under block allocation for priority programme, Rs 2,094.568 million were spent on 57 development schemes under special package.
