Rickshaws conversion into four-stroke to be allowed

The provincial government has assured the LPG distributors and office bearers of Auto Rickshaw Dealers Association that their problems would be resolved, including those relating to conversion of two-stroke rickshaws into four-stroke three wheelers.
According to Muhammad Irfan Khokhar, Chairman LPG Distributors Association Pakistan, a delegation comprising Qaumi Tajir Itehad Auto Rickshaw Dealers Association Lahore President Baghi Khan, LPG United Distributors and Sale Points Lahore chief Fayyaz Khan Basi Khel, Chairman Rickshaw Taxi Union Asghar Khan Mehmand and others called on District Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood, DIG Aftab Cheema, DCO Mian Ijaz, DDO Environment Tariq Zaman and SP Security Lahore, on Thursday.
In the meeting the delegation members were assured that they would be granted permission in next 48 hours to convert their two-stroke rickshaws into four-stroke vehicles. Khokhar further said that district Nazim also told the meeting that the government would provide funds for this conversion.
