The Punjab government has decided to expanded emergency services at district and tehsil headquarters level in the province and government had set aside five billion rupees for the purpose. The work on the project would soon be carried out in all district of the Punjab.
The official sources told Business Recorder here on Thursday that to provide improved and better health facilities to the masses, the Punjab government had expanded network of most modern hospitals throughout the province. The government was also considering for setting up of "cardiology centres" in all mega cities for ensuring modern treatment facilities to the masses in their respective areas of Punjab.
Similarly, necessary steps are being taken for the establishment of "burn units" in all district headquarters of the Punjab. The step was being taken for providing immediate medical treatment to the burned persons at their doorstep and work on this project would be undertaken shortly, sources added.
