Bangladesh team visits Punjab University

A 10-member media delegation of Bangladesh visited Punjab University and called on Director Centre for South Asian Studies (CSAS) Professor Dr Muhammad Saleem Mazhar here on Saturday. The delegation was led by a member of Bangladesh University grants commission Professor Dr Tariq Shams Al-Rehman.
While prominent journalists and columnists professor Dr Abdul Bais, Muhammad Shfiq Alkarim, Muhammad Sajid Hussain, Shah Ahmad Raza, Muhammad Noor-ul-Islam Khan, Abdur Rehman Khan, Masood-ul-Haq Mojumder, Moen-ul-Alam and Laila Yasmeen were also part of the delegation.
Professor Dr Saleem Mazhar briefed the delegates about the history and present set up of PU. He also briefed them about CSAS and said that the center was the information resource for South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC) countries and was publishing books about the historical, economical, political and geographical situations of these countries. Delegates took keen interest in the publications of the center. They also visited the library of the centre.
