The Karachi Port handled 143,383 tonnes cargo including 65,977 tonnes import, 77,406 tonnes export cargo and 3,529 containers (TEUs) during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 126,183 tonnes dry cargo including 101,271 tonnes general cargo; 7,884 tonnes coal; 7,425 tonnes rock phosphate; 9,603 tonnes cement and 17,200 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Eleven ships namely Oel Victory, Soon Fu, Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Wan Hai-311, Bunga Melati-4, Sea Glory, Ermis, Antares-G, Bolan, Caribbean Carrier and Bunga Delima sailed out to sea during the report period. Eight vessels viz Sea Princess, Wan Hai-311, Bunga Delima, Ninos, Kama Bhum, Cosco Lien Tun Gang, Mol Admiration and Jo Oak are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Jo Oak and Ninos expected to sail on Monday, while another vessel viz Mol Admiration is expected to sail on Tuesday. Four vessel viz M.T. Lalazar, C. Felix, Iran Hesabi and Jalkur-II due to arrive on Monday, while six ships namely Taylor, Oel Victory, Oel Esteem, Nyzdan, Apl Sokhna and Gulf Bridge are due to arrive on Tuesday.
