Rs eight billion treasury-bills sold

The State Bank of Pakistan said on Monday that it would auction Rs 8.0 billion ($131.7 million) worth of three-, six- and 12-month Treasury Bills this week. The auction will be on Wednesday, with settlement due on the following day, the State Bank of Pakistan said.
At the last T-bill auction on May 9, the central bank sold Rs 95.75 million of its benchmark six-month bills at cut-off and weighted average annual yields of 8.9017 percent. At the same auction, it sold Rs 392.16 million of three-month bills, and Rs 19.03 billion of the 12-month paper.
The cut-off and weighted average yields on the three-month T-bills were then set at 8.6869 percent, while for the 12-month paper, the cut-off yield was set at 9.100 percent and the weighted average yield came at 9.0910 percent.
