Wheat buying in full swing in Sialkot, Narowal districts

The wheat procurement process is in full swing in Sialkot and Narowal districts and 36,600 tons wheat has so far been purchased in both districts against the fixed target of 55,000 tons. Official sources told Business Recorder here on Wednesday that so far 22540 tons wheat in Sialkot district and 14060 tons in Narowal district had been purchased.
The Food Department had set up 13 wheat purchase centres at Saidpur, Daska, Noor Kot, Kot Nainan, Baddomalhhi, Shakargrah, Sialkot, Sambrial, Chawinda, Siranwali, Pasrur, Kotli Bawa Fiqer Chand and Narowal areas for the convenience of wheat sellers of Sialkot and Narowal districts.
The commodity is being purchased at Rs 425 per 40 kg from the growers, and the Food Department has deputed necessary staff at all these centres for extending guidance and assistance to the wheat growers in both districts.
