Pak-Turkey body chief to contest Turkish poll

Pakistan-Turkey Friendship Association President Burhan Kaya Turk will contest the election of Turkish parliament, being held in July on the ticket of Turkey's ruling party, AK. Burhan, a leading businessman from Ankara, got his higher education from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, and worked on various Wapda projects.
During his over 10 years stay in Lahore, Burhan also worked as engineer in the construction work of new terminal of the Lahore International Airport. Burhan, a strong supporter of Pakistan-Turkey friendship, has been striving for promoting people-to-people contacts between the two countries for the last several years.
Recently, Burhan Kaya Tur hosted a dinner in honour of a visiting Pak delegation in Ankara, and expressed his willingness to further promote the relations between the two brotherly countries.
