Punjab chief minister announces cash award to police officials

Punjab Chief Minister, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has announced cash award of rupees one lakh for ASI Javed Iqbal and Rs 50 thousand each for Head Constables Muhammad Iqbal, Muhammad Ishaq and Constable Muhammad Tufail for nabbing the criminals involved in a dacoity and murder case in Chunian.
He made this announcement during a meeting with the police officials at Chief Minister's Secretariat, today. IG Police Punjab, Ahmed Naseem, DIG Sheikhupura, Anwar Virk and DPO Kasur Tariq Abbas Qureshi were also present on this occasion.
The Chief Minister lauded courage and bravery of the police officials in arresting the criminals and said that they have set a noble example of commitment to professional responsibilities for the police force. He said that the government would fully encourage such officials. The Chief Minister said that commendatory certificates would also be given to the police officials.
According to details, the criminals involved in dacoity were trying to flee in a car when the police took immediate action and accused Muhammad Zubair and Bashir were arrested while special teams had been sent for apprehending their accomplices Zubair and Shabbir. IG Police Punjab, Ahmed Naseem said that all out encouragement would be extended to the officers and jawans of police force who displayed a spirit of professional commitment and courage.
