MV Emirates Karan to make inaugural call on Karachi

Emirates Karan will be the first vessel of Emirates Shipping Line to call a port in Pakistan. Emirates Shipping Line will call QICT terminal at Port Qasim and the first call is due May 30th. Emirates Shipping Line had announced the launch of two new services the Gulf Indian-Subcontinent Africa Service (GIA) and the Africa Far-east Asia Service (AFA).
The new GIA service offers a direct scheduled weekly service from the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East to East Africa, providing one of the best transit times to East Africa. The port rotation of GIA is Nhava Sheva, Karachi, Jebel Ali, Mombasa, Dar Es Salaam, Mombassa, Nhava Sheva.
Adnan Ahmad, Chief Executive of Emirates Shipping Agency Pakistan, announced that the "new service will be a superb addition to the existing services, giving exporter and importers a weekly service to these expanding non-traditional markets. It will further enhance the commitment of Emirates Shipping Line to the Pakistan trade and sets the stage for further expansion."-PR
