This refers to the news conference by Central Board of Revenue (CBR), in which it was revealed that the CBR has recovered 12 special jeeps, 500 tents, six refrigerated containers, 44 split air-conditioners, 44 portable toilets, generators, cooking range, hundreds of heaters, washing machines, fans and furniture from the seized containers in the premises of a closed factory in Hayatabad.
Which were packed with relief goods donated by foreign countries for the quake-affected people in NWFP and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The people in the earthquake-affected areas are dying of hunger, bad weather, poor living conditions and trauma.
I request the Supreme Court and the World Bank to look into the matter seriously and investigate thoroughly why relief goods worth millions of rupees were not distributed among the needy. The people of the earthquake-affected areas are waiting for help and those who have not fulfilled their duty of sending the relief goods must be punished.
