Seven Union Councils nazims join PML

Nazims of seven Union Councils of Gujranwala belonging to Peoples Party and PML-N called on Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi at Chief Minister's Secretariat, here Saturday. They expressed their confidence in the leadership of President Pakistan Muslim League Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and joined PML.
PML leader Hamid Nasir Chattha, Provincial Minister for Trade & Investment Dr Sohail Zafar Cheema, President PML Gujranwala Zafrullah Cheema, District Nazim Fiaz Chattha and MPA Engr Arshad Butt were also present on the occasion.
The Nazims of Union Councils who joined PML include Atif Masood Butt, Farooq Butt, Arshad Farooq, Waheed-ul-Haq Hashmi, Khalil Ahmad Mir, Lala Shahid and Sarwar Mughal.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi appreciated their joining PML said PML would further be strengthened in the area. He said that PML being the founder party of Pakistan was playing an active role for the progress and prosperity of the country.
He said that party was effectively implementing reforms agenda of the government as well as its manifesto due to which popularity of PML was rapidly growing among the masses. He said that culture of tolerance and accommodation was being promoted by PML in the country.
He averred that due to historic role and impressive performance of PML, office-bearers and workers of other political parties were joining the PML as a result of which PML network would be expanding. He further stated that reforms introduced by PML government in socio-economic sectors were resulting in relief to the masses. He said that patriotic forces were gathering on a single platform due to politics of service introduced by the present leadership.
The Nazims who joined PML said that government was playing an active role for achieving the objectives of national development, promotion of democratic culture besides improving living standard of the masses and they are deeply impressed by its exemplary performance. They said that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi all sectors of development had been strengthened.
