Mukhtar Jhangvi killed

Unidentified assailants shot dead an activist Allama Mukhtar Ahmad Jhangvi of the International Khatam-e-Nabuwat Movement, in nearby Chak 196RB Ghona on Monday morning. He was former member of the Sipah-e-Sahaba.
According to police, he was running business in the name of Majid Estate Agency in the area and was sleeping in his office, when unidentified attackers opened fire on them. He died on the spot. Police have registered a murder case and investigation is in progress.
According to police, his gunman absconded along with the record and account of the business. In another case, police shot dead a youth suspecting him a proclaimed offender near Manawala on Sheikhupura Road.
According to information, police had received a tip off that proclaimed offender Mumtaz Hussain alias Mumtazi Awan, who was wanted in several cases of murder and other heinous crimes to the Satiana police, is present in his in-laws house in Kachi Kothi village.
Following this, a huge contingent of Satiayna Police raided the said house. In the meantime, Muhammad Ashraf alias Abri, who was wanted to police in minor cases tried to escape from the neighbouring house, fearing that police wanted to arrest him. Police and Elite Force personnel suspecting him Mumtazi Awan opened indiscriminate fire, killing him on the spot.
