Rs 250 million to be spent on maintenance of UAF hostels

An amount of Rs 250 million would be spent on the repair and maintenance of UAF hostels with the help of Govt of Punjab. This was stated by the Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Bashir Ahmad, while addressing the annual grand dinner hosted by office of the Hall Warden at Kashmir Hall as a Chief Guest here on Wednesday night.
Professor Dr Bashir Ahmad said that new bathrooms at international standards are being constructed in various hostels and electric water cooler for drinking water have been provided to the all hostels of the university.
Professor Dr Bashir Ahmad while highlighting the steps taken by the administration for the betterment of students said that the internet facility to the all hostels have been provided and this facility would very soon be extended at each room level. UAF Vice Chancellor urged the need for obtained maximum knowledge through internet and said that this the only way through which we can achieve excellence in the field of science and technology.
Professor Dr Iftikhar Ahmad Khan Dean Faculty of Agriculture earlier told the participants that the Kashmir Hall has significance and distinction among the all other hostels in a sense no inquiry against any resident of Kashmir Hall has been conducted so far in the history of university, which is example of great unity and harmony among the students of Kashmir Hall.
Professor Dr Muhammad Amjad Aoulakh Hall Warden in his address highlighted the role of Hall Warden office for the facilitation of student's community. He told that the playgrounds are being developed around the hostels for the purpose of physical fitness among the resident of hostels.
Professor Dr Sultan Ahmad, Superintendent Kashmir Hall also spoke on the occasion and gave details of distinctive features of Kashmir Hall. He maintained that Kashmir Hall has been obtained number one position in cleanliness since last few years.
