International Conference on 'Islam and current economic Issues' is going to be held on June 1 at the auditorium of National Library Islamabad, says an IIU press release. The conference has been jointly organised by the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) and Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA).
Eminent scholars from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Nigeria, India and a number of other countries will share their thoughts on various issues related to Islamic economics during the conference, it stated.
CII reports on the elimination of Riba, poverty alleviation with reference to Zakat and Bait-ul-Mall, Islamic banking and nature and role of the government in Islam are the main themes to be discussed in the conference. Dr Manzoor Ahmad, Rector IIUI, will speak on 'Nature and Rule of Government in Islam,' the press release pointed out.
