Evening programme admissions at Karachi University begin

The admissions to Evening Programme at Karachi University (KU) commenced from on Monday. The spokesman of the university further said that a number of candidates obtained prospectus for the admission to the masters classes.
The Director of the university's evening programme, Professor Dr Abuzar Wajidi, said that admissions to masters and diploma classes would be conducted upto June 14. The admission list would be put on display on June 26, he further stated.
Professor Wajidi pointed out that the procedure would be that same as that of the morning programme of the institution. Masters classes in Geographic Information System is being initiated for the first time in any of the public sector universities in the province.
The other new disciplines include Physiology, Zoology and international relations, Professor Wajidi informed. Professor Wajidi maintained that the fees at the evening programme at KU are less than such courses offered by the other universities in their evening sessions. He said that for the convenience of the applicant at the evening programme, the condition of passing the previous examination within five years' time has been waived.
