Tevta fair starts from June 9

Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (Tevta), in collaboration with M/s Wateen plans, will organise Tevta's Fair on June 09, 2007 at Alhamra Art Gallery. Punjab Governor Lieutenant General Khalid Maqbool (Retd) will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony.
A Tevta spokesman said here on Monday that it was an attempt by Tevta to interact with the employers and industrialists as well as the general public regarding the role of Tevta in providing skilled workforce to the economic development of the province.
Tevta is working to ensure an upgraded quality technical education and vocational training system with a broader base of skills training programmes, he added. This fair would act as a tool to introduce the capabilities and potential of Tevta trainees to their prospective employers. Display of Tevta goods & services will highlight the role of Tevta institutions imparting need based quality education to the youth of the province.
The purpose of this fair is to create opportunity for the concerned segment of the society to witness the progressive work, including dress designing, industrial garments, interior decoration, arrangements by commercial arts, graphics & architectural drafting, mechanical and IT, he stated. The prominent industrialists and academicians are expected to participate in the event, the spokesman concluded.
