Tourism division to concentrate on religious, domestic sides

Pakistan was expecting inflow of about 1 million tourists and therefore, the Tourism Division would concentrate on the development of adventure, culture, domestic and religious tourism development during the next year. The division presented this information at the Senate Standing Committee on Culture, Sports and Tourism on Monday.
In addition, Tourism division was engaged in a survey spread over two years to assess what the tourists spend their money on their visit to this country. Tourism Ministry was also keen on presenting a uniform message about tourism potential of the country. It was developing a web site after spending Rs 500,000 on this task. Senator Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry chaired the committee meeting, and Senators Razina Alam Khan, Fauzia Fakhar-uz Zaman, Kauser Firdaus, Haroon Khan as well as Secretary of the Committee Sher Mohammad Baloch attended the meeting.
