Modern fire station for Lahore

First modern fire service stations under Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) to be inaugurated on Tuesday (June 5). Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi would be the chief guest on the launching ceremony of the service stations.
According to an official here on Monday, the passing out parade of the fire rescuers has also been arranged. Ten fire trucks and 250 rescue fighters would demonstrate in the function. For this purpose 250 fire rescuers have been provided training keeping in view of the international standard.
Six of the officers of the service were trained in England. The services of fire rescue, medical, ambulance would be available on a call on 1122. The Rescue 1122 would soon extend its operations to other 11 major cities of the province.
