A joint meeting of the officers of the Department of Information NWFP and local journalists was held at Media Centre of the Directorate. The meeting offered fateha for the departed soul of Syed Mehdi Hussain and strongly condemned his murder.
They announced three-day mourning by the department and decided to stage a protest rally jointly by journalists and the officers of the information department outside the Peshawar Press Club to condemn the brutal act.
The journalist community of Mardan, Swat, Malakand, Abbottabad, Kohat, Bannu and DI Khan along with the officials of the regional directorate of information would also take out protest demonstrations outside their press clubs to slam the murder.
