The United Arab Emirates' eastern port of Fujairah has been cleared of anchored vessels and is closed to all ships until further notice due to Cyclone Gonu, the state news agency said on Wednesday.
It quoted a port official as saying that ships near the emirate of Fujairah had been asked to move to safer areas as the storm moves northwards from neighbouring Oman.
