Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has called former PFF Secretary and sitting Punjab Minister for Agriculture Muhammad Arshad Khan Lodhi to explain reasons for breaching the PFF Code of Conduct.
'If Arshad Lodhi did not give satisfactory reply, his case will be referred to the PFF Disciplinary Committee for violation of FIFA, AFC and PFF Codes of Conduct and Disciplines', a spokesman of PFF said, here on Thursday.
'It has been noted with great concern that Arshad Khan Lodhi have not only levelled false allegations against PFF's top official but also tried to tarnish the image of PFF through his baseless statements in print and electronic media," said PFF spokesman.
He added: "Besides being sitting President of Punjab Football Association, Arshad Lodhi is also member of PFF Executive Committee until 31st August 2007. In the past, as PFF Secretary, he himself suspended several persons for takings laws into their hands and working against PFF Code of Conduct and Discipline."
It may be mentioned that clause "2n" of Misconduct or Breach of Discipline says ; "No PFF official/staff including referees, coaches, managers of teams or team players shall make any statement, or address letter to press or deliver a speech on radio/TV etc ; concerning with affairs of the PFF unless duly authorised by the competent authority'.
