Indian share prices fell 0.49 percent on Thursday in volatile trade fuelled by fresh concern over inflation and interest rates, dealers said. They said local and overseas funds sold shares on speculation that US and global interest rates could be headed higher. The 30-share Sensex fell 69.75 points to 14,186.18.
"There was some tiredness today, with no clear trend emerging. We expect weakness ahead," said a dealer with brokerage Jamnadas Morarjee.
